Pretty soon we’re going to have to stage an intervention for Miley Cyrus. She has the worst taste in men, hands down. And she’s only sixteen! Imagine the kind of douches she’s going to be dating at 21! Anyway, a few weeks ago Miley had some Twitter drama where she’s cryptically confessed to being a “single girl”, which many people took as her admission that she had not only dumped 20-year-old douche Justin Gaston, but then dumped her rebound revisit Nick Jonas. On the same day, Miley claimed: “I would like a boy that is like John Mayer/ James Morrison/ Elvis/Rob Thomas all in one.” Elvis is dead (or is he?) and Rob Thomas is married… so that leaves 31-year-old John Mayer. Now the Enquirer is reporting that Miley is hellbent on hooking with Mayer, like, totally, for real:

[Miley] ended her recent romantic reunion with Nick Jonas – who is also 16 – because he’s just “too immature” say pals.

“She was in love with Nick, but it was really just puppy love,” a close family friend said. “They broke up again. Now she’s ready for the real thing.”

For Miley, the real thing means a real man, says pals. And that’s where 31-year-old Grammy winner John Mayer fits in.

“For a 16-year-old, John has that ‘older man’ mystique that Miley finds so intriguing,” said the friend. “He’s handsome and talented, and Miley calls him a ‘total babe’.”

John visited Miley backstage when she appeared in Las Vegas last year and told her he had friends whose kids were huge fans.

“John has no idea of Miley’s enormous crush, but Hollywood is a small town. Miley has decided the next time their paths cross, she’s going to make her move,” according to the source.

[Miley] looks and acts much older than her actual age. “She’s growing up way too fast,” said her friend. “She’s decided to date nothing but older men.”

But Miley may be disappointed if she puts a move on John Mayer. “He thinks Miley’s cool, and he’ll be flattered,” said her friend. “But ton him, Miley’s still just a little girl.”

Some would say that a young girl like that is looking for men that remind her of her father – to which I say, sure. I’ll buy that. Having Billy Ray as a dad, then Justin Gaston and Nick Jonas and now a crush on John Mayer. Yep, that makes sense. As for Miley acting too grown up, I tend to think she should be given some slack. I believe she’s old enough to be working full-time, to have a boyfriend, to be experimenting with sexuality. In moderation, to all of it, of course. That’s the key – moderation – and I’m not always sure Miley’s parents and telling her “no” enough. God knows someone should tell Miley to stop with provocative “take me on this table” poses in Elle Magazine. And someone should tell her that no matter her age, Mayer is always going to be a douche.
