With the death of Michael Jackson only having been weeks ago, the public was made aware that no fear should be had as there would be plenty of new music from Michael Jackson to come. And, already today, July 17th, 2009, we get to hear a snippet of one of Michael Jackson’s unreleased tracks. Ummm, hello…are you excited?!!!
The Michael Jackson “A Place with no Name” is similar to that of the song that was released by the group American back in 1971. Their track was called “A Horse with No Name”. Apparently several years ago America’s manager gave Michael the permission to record and release the song if he chose to.
According to TMZ.com, America’s current manager, Jim Morey, who was also Michael’s manager in the late 80’s and early 90’s, says, “The band was honored that Michael chose to do their song and they hope it becomes available for all Michael’s fans to hear.”
And even though shortly after Michael’s death, his released albums shot to number one and sales skyrocketed, whenever a track or new album is released with Jackson’s never heard before material, you can expect massive sales and chart toppers. It is unknown when the Michael Jackson A Place With No Name was recorded. Listen to a snippet below.
