Is it official now? Megan Fox has been voted the worst actress of the year by Moviefone online voters. Two postscripts to that: online voting isn’t in any way scientific, and two, Megan also got the “sexiest” title. So, basically, people overwhelming think she can’t act for sh-t, but they like looking at pictures of her. I can kind of see that. I enjoy looking at photos of Megan too, because I like to see the latest in plastic surgery, and her fashion sense is hit or miss, but she’s usually interesting. It’s a wonder no one has done a poll on “most asinine interview”. Megan could also wrap up that one, any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Here’s more about the Moviefone poll:

Teen vampires still have their fangs dug deep in the neck of the American public. The latest, vamp-friendly “Twilight” flick, “New Moon,” was voted favorite movie of 2009 in a new poll conducted by the AOL movie Web site Moviefone.com.

Likewise, its main hunk, Robert Pattinson, took the prize for sexiest male star, with 46.5% of the vote, while his beefy cohort, Taylor Lautner got the nod for best male breakout star.

Unsurprisingly, “New Moon” also ranked as the year’s champ “chick flick.”

Moviefone’s voters weren’t nearly so decisive about another big film this year: They ranked “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” as the worst movie of 2009, as well as the second most disappointing film after “Bruno,” yet at the same time, they called it the year’s best action flick.

That wasn’t the only mixed-up vote in the poll. “Transformers” hottie Megan Fox may have gotten the nod as the year’s sexiest female thespian but voters also felt she gave the worst performance of ‘09.

Go figure.

In the realm of humor, “The Hangover” got the thumbs-up as the year’s funniest movie, with 51.8% of the vote, while Disney/Pixar’s “Up” was counted as the best animated film.
Sandra Bullock took the best performance by an actress prize for “The Blind Side.”

“New Moon” earned one other endorsement in the poll: its next installment, “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” was picked as the 2010 film fans most yearn to see.

The poll’s full results, which tallied over 238,000 votes, can be found on the Moviefone.com Web site.

I’m an old fart because I haven’t seen anything, right? I took my mom to see It’s Complicated over the weekend. We both enjoyed it. Why does Meryl Streep never win any of these titles? Meryl’s totally prettier and sexier than Megan Fox. If you stack a million Megan Foxes on top of each other and somehow squeeze the talent out of them, that would only be one drop to Meryl’s ocean of talent. I’m starting a movement. I want Meryl to be the “the sexiest actress of the decade”. Who’s with me?
