Victoria Beckham is dragging a British magazine into court for saying she’s on diet pills.

The skinny star is furious because tabloid rag Now said that she had her sister sneak the tablets from the UK to Los Angeles to help her keep her weight down.

According to reports, the mom of three is said to be “horrified”, and even says the false claims are “dangerous” because she is a role model to so many people.

The former Spice Girl’s agent Jo Milloy said today, “The accusation is dangerous, defamatory and blatantly untrue.

“Victoria takes her position as a role model to young women very seriously and is horrified by this hurtful, fabricated story.

“It is now with her lawyers.”

Just eight months ago, David Beckham and wife Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham were the toast of the town at a dazzling “Welcome to L.A.” party held by new pals Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. But sources are telling OK! that they might be waking up from their American dream sooner than expected.

“David is very close to his family and would much rather be living in the UK,” a source close to the couple tells OK!. “A lot of things haven’t gone the way they thought it would.” The insider adds that there are whispers that the soccer stud would be very happy if someone bought out his contract with his current team, the L.A. Galaxy.

Meanwhile, it looks like Posh might be pushing to stay in La-La Land a little bit longer. Just this past weekend, while David was off in Asia on a promotional tour with the Galaxy, Victoria made the most of her Hollywood connections, grabbing dinner first with Eva Longoria and Kate Beckinsale at STK on Friday and then with Tom and Katie at Madeo on Sunday night.

“They couldn’t be happier here,” the pop star’s rep Cheryl Maisel tells OK!. “They aren’t having second thoughts.” Meanwhile, David’s rep gives a briefer (and perhaps more revealing) summary of the Beckhams’ situation, saying, “He is here to fulfill his contract.”

It’s been a busy baby year for the Spice Girls, as two of the four lovely ladies gave birth. First, Melanie “Scary Spice” Brown welcomed her second child Angel Iris into the world on April 3, and then Emma Bunton had a Baby Spice of her own, when she birthed little boy Beau on August 10. And now, OK! has learned exclusively that Victoria Beckham , already a mother of 3 boys, might be in the family way for a fourth time — and judging by her shopping habits, she might finally be having a girl!

Sources reveal to OK! that Posh popped into swanky L.A. baby store Petit Tresor, not once, but twice in the last week. Also, it appears the singer has been thinking pink, picking up both a Blankee brand blanket and a cashmere stuffed animal in that feminine hue.

When Posh returned with a friend to the Brentwood, Calif., boutique the following day, the source tells OK! she seemed to be gathering information for desigining a nursery for their new Southern California home.

So why would Victoria, who along with hubby David Beckham are the proud parents of Brooklyn, 8, Romeo, 5, and 2-year-old Cruz, be keeping so hush-hush about the good news? “The Spice Girls reunion tour is coming up,” explains one music industry insider. “Everyone’s seen how much guff Christina Aguilera and J.Lo both got for touring while obviously being pregnant. She’s probably trying to avoid that if she can.”

Calls for comment to Victoria’s rep have not yet been returned.

Don’t worry — Victoria Beckham is completely aware of how amazing her life is. In a new blog entry posted today from her Elle cover shoot, the Spice Girl writes about her trip to Paris for fashion week, and all of the unbelievable frocks she rocked along the way. “I’m absolutely loving my green dress, ” she writes (Us too!), “it’s a vintage 50′s dress that I’ve mixed with Fendi shoes and DVB sunglasses. Classic but chic.”

She goes on to praise “the lovely Dita Von Teese,” Roberto Cavalli, “amazing” Sophia Coppola, and the new Louis Vuitton designs, calling the show “fantastic — the colours were amazing and the shoes were gorgeous.”

Speaking of shoes, Posh reveals that designer Giambattista Valli has named a pair after her. The only problem? The “Victoria” platform heel is so high that even their namesake says she needs “to learn how to walk in them!”

Mrs. Beckham also finds time to thank fans for supporting hubby David, who’s father recently fell ill. And in her new photo section of the blog, she goofs on her own fabulous personality, putting on her “fierce” face and writing “this is how you pose for pictures.”

Posh is popular by association in the Asian country, where her husband David has godlike status. The sportsman’s glamorous wife also has her own huge following in the Asian country, where her jeans and cosmetics ranges are big sellers.

The couple have also fronted a publicity drive for a chain of Japanese beauty salons. One humorous ad shows Victoria taking a fragrant bath scented with real flower petals, while David tries to copy her beauty routine – by tossing a sack of footballs into his tub.

Victoria Beckham turned into something of a runway show herself as she stepped out at New York fashion week in two outfits on one day.

On Monday evening she stole the limelight at the Marc Jacobs show in a figure-hugging purple and silver mini, accessorised with purple peep-toes and a matching handbag. Earlier in the day, taking her place at the Oscar de la Renta show alongside Anna Wintour and tennis ace Roger Federer, she showed off a bold green and black print thigh-skimming shift and killer heels.

Also catching up on the latest looks from Marc Jacobs was newly-single Heath Ledger, who was spotted sharing conversation with pop diva Debbie Harry. Other guests included Sheryl Crow and Carmen Electra, both of whom oozed understated elegance in black, plus Mischa Barton, elegant in a red and white number.

Victoria Beckham is going to give American TV another shot.

Although her July NBC reality special Victoria Beckham: Coming to America failed to set the Nielsen ratings afire – commanding less than 5 million viewers – Mrs. David Beckham will join proven winner Ugly Betty this season in a role she was born to play: herself.

ABC has announced that “Posh Spice,” 33, will appear as a celebrity bridesmaid at the wedding of Wilhelmina Slater (Vanessa Williams) and publisher Bradford Meade (Alan Dale) in an episode slated for the upcoming season, which begins Sept. 27.

This promises to be an active autumn for Beckham, who has already launched her own dVb fashion label and line of fragrances. In December, she and her old gang will regroup for a two-month, 11-show Spice Girls reunion world tour that includes concerts in New York City and Las Vegas.

Slightly less busy, however, is David Beckham, 32, who will be off the soccer field for about six weeks, it was announced Thursday. A sprained ligament in his knee is to blame.

Writing on her blog, the Spice Girl tells fans: “We’ve finally unpacked our boxes and I’m loving our new house – it is totally major.”

Life has been a bit of a whirlwind since the Beckham family moved into their luxury £11 million Hollywood home, with the interior design work on the property being fitted around her and David’s Tinseltown socialising.

Then there’s also been the all-important business of staking out local retail therapy outlets and beauty parlours. “You never know when you might need a facial,” declares the mother-of-three.

Victoria has found time for some work-related matters, though. Having launched the couple’s his and hers fragrance Intimately Beckham in the US, the energetic fashion icon/singer/mum is planning her new dVb denim collection. This, she informs blog readers, is also likely to be “totally major”.

In her first blog update since becoming a resident of Los Angeles less than a month ago, Victoria Beckham has already started to talk like a Valley Girl.

“Hi everybody. Hope you are all well,” she writes on her Web site. “Well we have finally unpacked our boxes and I am loving our new house – it is totally major!”

Beckham, 33, her soccer star husband David Beckham, 32, and their three sons opened the door to their $22 million Beverly Hills home on July 13 and, although she blogged upon their arrival, she hasn’t bothered to file a message in the ensuing four weeks.

Filling her days? For one thing, it seems like interior decor has been a top priority for the English émigrés.

“Just adding some of the finishing touches to it actually and then it really will feel like home,” she says of their six-bedroom home. “On top of that the weather here has been amazing too so we are all a happy bunch.”

Showing that kids can display the same demanding nature on both sides of the Atlantic, Beckham explains that Brooklyn, 8, Romeo, 4, and 2-year-old Cruz are already eager consumers.

“The boys are really looking forward to starting their new school so we’ve got to make sure they are all kitted out with new schoolbags and pencil cases,” she says. “You remember what it’s like going back to school, you’ve got to have a new EVERYTHING!”

Still, while her husband cautiously takes to the field because of a lingering ankle injury, the lady of the house has been checking out the California high life.

“I have been busy having a good look around LA, checking out the restaurants and the beauty parlours,” she says. “Well you never know when you might need a facial!”

Aside from easing into their new environment, the Beckhams, who have been playing hosts to extended family from England, have been social-networking for their business ventures, too.

“David and myself attended a launch last week in Bel Air (very swish)” – translation: posh – “for the launch of our latest fragrance Intimately Beckham, we met lots of people there and I thought it went really well,” she writes.

“I’m also just starting work on my new dVb denim collection – I’m really excited about starting the next project – it’s going to be totally major so keep your eyes open for that.”
