Paris Hilton’s ex-boyfriend Nick Carter gave New York listeners quite an earful Tuesday morning when he told a local radio station he never gives his former flame a second thought.

During an interview at WPLJ to promote The Backstreet Boys’ new single “Inconsolable,” the DJ asked Carter if the two still keep in contact and his thoughts on Hilton’s highly publicized activities. Carter did not mince words by saying, “I don’t keep up with her, I lost her in the black and white. I don’t think about her anymore, I don’t care anymore. Half of America doesn’t care either!” Ouch!

…unlike the heiress, who recently called her ex-boyfriend names such as “asshole”, and said he was jealous of her career and stuff.

Nick is being a gentleman about it, and refuses to say bad things of his former lover. He said he’s ready to move on, and “it’s definitely done.”

“I’m not going to diss [her] or say anything bad… at the end of the day I loved her, and there’s always going to be a certain amount of love there for people who you’ve been with for a while. At the same time though, you move on – I’ve got a tattoo that says ‘old habits die hard.’ I’m out for new and better things.”

He sounds nice, but we still don’t know if Paris’ bruises last year were caused by Carter or some other issue to create publicity…
