Miley Cyrus Didn’t Know People Would Look at VF Pics “Like That”

Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus feels the pressure of fame – especially after Vanity Fair published a semi-topless photo of the 15-year-old, according to co-star Anna Maria Perez de Tagle.

“Sometimes I’ll talk to her on the phone and she’ll be like, ‘It’s really hard’ or ‘I’m really tired. I can’t do this,’” Perez de Tagle told E!

“But I’ll always say, ‘You do want to do this. You love your job.’ And she’s like, ‘Yeah,’” the actress added.

The Vanity Fair portrait “really hurt her inside,” said Perez de Tagle. “She didn’t know that people would look at it like that.”

After Cyrus apologized and said she was embarrassed when the photo was released, Bill O’Reilly blamed her dad for putting “her into a situation where she becomes, at 15, a sex symbol.”

Production is under way for the Hannah Montana movie, which hits screens in 2009.

Miley Cyrus Avoids Slime But Wins Kids’ Choice Awards

Miley Cyrus had slime on her mind Saturday at Nickelodeon’s 2008 annual Kids Choice Awards.

The teen superstar begged not to get showered with the green stuff while she accepted the award for Favorite Female Singer (she also won for Favorite TV Actress). “I don’t want to get slimed but I am glad to be here,” she told the screaming crowd.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull star Harrison Ford, who presented the award for Favorite Voice for an Animated Movie, got the green stuff dumped on him instead, adding his name to the list of slimmed celebrities, which includes Justin Timberlake, Nicole Kidman, Pink and Johnny Depp.

Later in the night, Cyrus was back on stage to rock the house with her tune, “G.N.O. - Girl’s Night Out.”

Jack Black showed off several green outfits while playing host, but Jessica Alba, who took home the award for Favorite Movie Actress, outshined him in a deep green gown.

Cameron Diaz, who was introduced by Ashton Kutcher, said winning the Wannabe Award was even better than winning the Big Burp Award, which she took home a previous year. “Oh wow. And when I say wow, I mean, Wow!” she said. “This is the biggest honor in my entire life.”

Things got messy when Heidi Klum used darts to burst green slime balloons that filled the Mighty Slime Vat with a record-breaking amount of the oozing green stuff, which eventually ended up all over Black and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl star Orlando Bloom in a climactic ending to the show.

Miley Cyrus Not Seeking Boyfriend Online

Miley Cyrus isn’t frantic to find a boyfriend, but that doesn’t mean the Hannah Montana star doesn’t check out eye candy online.

Denying rumors that she’s been searching the Net for a new beau, Cyrus, 15, told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM show, “I’m not that desperate yet” – but she did joke that she “might go on the Abercrombie [& Fitch] Web site” every once in a while for a good look.

Cyrus also came clean on sometimes thinking of ways to punk the paparazzi Ashton Kutcher-style. Calling the frenzy that surrounds her “pretty insane,” Cyrus said photographers just sit outside her house all day.

Asked about reports that the paps have more interest in her than they do in Britney Spears, modest Miley almost sounded apologetic, telling Seacrest, “I kinda I feel bad, ’cause I’m a lot more boring than Britney Spears. We don’t do anything. We just go to Coffee Bean.”

Miley Cyrus and the New Power Girls: No Drinking, No Drugs, No Clubs

As young Hollywood continues to tread on a downward spiral — both actors Heath Ledger and Brad Renfro died tragically within the same week — a new generation of power girls are pledging not to wind up with the same sad fate.

In the new issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now, Us interviews the top 10 stars — from Hannah Montana’s Miley Cyrus to Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively — you need to know about. In addition to raking in the big bucks — Miley Cyrus earned $3.5 million last year — these young ladies tell Us they keep their heads on straight.

Says honoree Amanda Bynes, 21: “I don’t like to drink. I have definitely stayed out of the party scene. I’ve been offered to go to those parties, but I feel like I would be the one who would die if I did something.”

Of today’s out of control club-goers, she adds, “I don’t know how they think they’re gonna live forever.”

Echoes High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale, 22: “I don’t drink, and I don’t smoke. It’s a personal preference. My mom has never drunk or smoked. I look up to my mom.”

She tells Us she doesn’t get how her Hollywood counterparts can find time for clubbing.

“I don’t understand how people do it —I work non-stop! Then when I’m done working, I’m just so tired I just want to be home,” she says.

“Clubs are just not where I want to be photographed,” adds country singer Taylor Swift, 18.

She also says she realizes the impact her actions could have on her younger fans.

“For everything I do, I think about a 6-year-old girl and her mom that I saw at my concert last night,” she tells Us. “I think about what those two individuals would think if I were at a club last night.

“I never want to be arrested, and I never want to get a DUI,” Swift says. “Those are my moral values. I am an over-achiever, and I want to be known for the good things in my life.”

Childhood star-turned-teen queen Raven-Symone obeys a rule: “I like to be in by 1 or 2 a.m. because [you can get in more trouble] at night. Anytime really, but the night scares me sometimes.”

Miley Cyrus, 15 — Hollywood’s No. 1. power girl — offered this tip to today’s troubled young stars.

“The most important thing is really staying true to yourself,” she tells Us. “That’s what my mom taught me. She’s the most beautiful girl, not only on the outside but on the inside. She’s teaching me how to be a good person.”

Miley Cyrus Feels Fame’s Pressure

Fifteen- year- old singer and actress Miley Cyrus knows that fame comes with the inevitable pressures felt by former teen stars like Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan, but she says she’s doing her best to keep it all in perspective.

“I understand… the pressure is definitely hard,” the young star tells TV’s Extra at the premiere of her Hannah Montana movie, “but I think just keeping your head on your shoulders is easier than it looks. I think if you know who you are, then I think you’ll be fine for the rest of the way.”

When asked about the recent scandals involving Britney, Miley’s heart goes out to the troubled mother of two. “I think it’s so crazy and I think that she needs help. If I didn’t have my family, I’d probably be in the same position,” Miley explains, adding, “you’ve just got to know who your true friends are and I think for me, that’s my mom. If you have sisters, I mean any girls that are in your family, that can understand and relate to you, I think is the best.”

To check out the full interview for yourself, tune in to Extra on Friday.
