Mary-Kate Olsen is still smokin’!

The 21-year-old, who’s guest starring on the Showtime comedy Weeds this season, has signed onto the stoner film The Wackness.

The flick, written and directed by Jonathan Levine, follows the eccentric relationship between a drug dealer (Drake and Josh’s Josh Peck) and his psychiatrist (Sir Ben Kingsley), who offers therapy sessions in exchange for marijuana.

Mary-Kate will play the dread-headed pothead friend/”client” of Peck’s character, which will mark her first on-screen under-the-influence performance – she portrays a devout Christian on Weeds.

X-Men’s Famke Janssen, Olivia Thirlby of the now-defunct series Kidnapped, and Method Man also co-star.

The Wackness starts filming this fall in New York City.

Season three of Weeds premieres Monday, Aug. 13 at 10 p.m.

Is there an Emmy in Mary-Kate Olsen’s future? Her Weeds co-stars sure seem to think so. The younger Olsen twin is set to appear on television sans Ashley for the first time for a 10-episode arc on the upcoming third season of Weeds, premiering Aug. 13. At the Hollywood premiere Wednesday night, the Weeds veterans had nothing but praise for the pint-size mogul.

“I understand, now, why she’s so famous. She’s got mad skills,” Romany Malco tells OK!. “It’s almost like you come in every day and you meet your sensei, you get your ass kicked. At the end, you say ‘thank you.’”

Few details are known about Mary-Kate’s storyline, save for her devout Christian character Tara becoming a potential love interest for Silas Botwin (Hunter Parrish). But Romany, who plays supplier Conrad Shepard on the dark comedy, assures viewers the plot and Mary-Kate herself are worth waiting for.

“She is, unquestionably, I guarantee it, the most surprising character in the season,” he says. “She’s really a free spirit. And the way that she justifies what she’s doing is where the comedy is. You might laugh at what she does, but you ain’t really caught the joke until you hear the justification.”

Even more impressed with Mary-Kate are her co-stars on the younger end of the age spectrum. 13-year-olds Alexander Gould and Allie Grant, who portray Shane Botwin and Isabelle Hodes, respectively, are both huge fans of the 21-year-old actress, their eyes lighting up at the mention of her name.
