Is Katie Holmes preparing to swap playdates for the Great White Way? Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper reports that she’s in talks for a role on Broadway.

Respected showbiz writer Baz Bamigboye reports that Holmes is “in final negotiations” to make her professional stage debut in a revival of All My Sons, Arthur Miller’s heartbreaking, post-World War II family drama.

While the Mail reports the actress has committed to participating in a workshop of the play in May, a rep for Holmes tells PEOPLE that she is in discussions but also says, “nothing is set.”

If she does take the role, Holmes would play a woman who visits the family of her former lover, a missing pilot. It would be her first play since high school and Holmes would be on stage six nights a week.

With best friends like Giorgio Armani and Victoria Beckham and big plans to have her own haute couture label in the future, it isn’t surprising that Katie Holmes is always among the most fashion-forward women in Hollywood.

But when the slender star showed up wearing loose-fitting dresses at both the Costume Designers Guild Awards and the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards that seemed to reveal the hint of a bump to spectators, the question on everyone’s lips was: Could Katie have a baby on board?

“She has that special glow that only pregnant women have,” an eyewitness tells OK!. “I would say there is a strong possibility that she’s pregnant.”

If the Mad Money star is expecting, the timing couldn’t be better, with little daughter Suri turning 2 in April. “Katie’s a big believer in big families and lots of siblings. It’s how she was brought up,” a Holmes family friend tells OK!. The 29-year-old actress has three older sisters and a brother eight years her senior. “She was always jealous of being so far apart in age from her siblings, so she doesn’t want to space it out too far.”

And with Katie’s next slated project, The Other Side, currently stalled, it has left her with time for another child. “To be honest, she’s giving up the pipe dream of wanting an Oscar for now,” the pal says. “She wants to focus on being married and happy, and giving Suri a little brother or sister.”

Kate Holmes is getting harsh reactions from critics in her first return to the big screen since wedding Tom Cruise and welcoming daughter Suri.

“And the cinematic comeback of the year award goes to…somebody other than Katie Holmes,” says a New York Post critic, who calls her new heist comedy Mad Money, co-starring Queen Latifah and Diane Keaton, “the most cringe-making return since Love Boat: The Next Wave.

“Holmes, with Alice Cooper hair and crazy Jim Carrey eyes, looks terrible and acts worse, unless this movie is unintentionally a lobotomy documentary,” the reviewer writes. “Whatever could have happened to her in the last couple of years to zap the talent out of her like this?”

The New York Times says Holmes is “the movie’s weakest link.”

Variety adds that throughout the film “Holmes is awkwardly upsetting the balance” between Latifah and Keaton.

“Their heist is only the pretext for jinks that range from medium high (as played out by Queen Latifah and Diane Keaton) to painfully low (as perpetrated by Katie Holmes, who pops her eyes, scrunches her nose and shakes her booty in lieu of acting),” writes the Wall Street Journal.

Holmes, who seems to have changed a lot since her early days based on her talk show appearances this week, also recently got flak for some questionable style moves in NYC.

Katie Holmes: Actress, fashionista …. cook?

Tom Cruise’s wife, who just turned 29 Tuesday, says she plans on hitting the kitchen this Christmas as she celebrates with both sides of their big family in Telluride, Colorado. (Check out her family’s holiday card.)

“I will probably cook some garlic mashed potatoes and maybe a cheesecake,” she says.

She adds that “Tom’s really good in the kitchen … [he] has shown me the greatness of extra chocolate chips.”

Even 20-month-old international jetsetter Suri will get in on the action by helping Mom make sugar cookies.

“Suri will be in the dough everywhere,” Holmes joked.

She said the family — who include Cruise’s kids with Nicole Kidman, Connor, 12, and Isabella, 14 — will likely go skiing. (She added that “[Tom’s] first two children are incredible, really smart and kind. They call me ‘Mom.’”)

As for the couple’s first child, Suri, Holmes says “we don’t like to be away from her.

“She’s very aware,” Holmes adds. “This summer, when Tom was working in Germany, she’d wake up and say, ‘Hello, Berlin,’”

Alas, no interview would be complete without Holmes gushing over her husband. (They celebrated their one-year anniversary this year.)

“I appreciate the man that I’m with and my family and my work,” she tells Parade. “I feel very lucky to be able to say that. I mean, what we do in a week is extraordinary.”

Katie Holmes fueled another round of pregnancy rumors at the L.A. premiere of husband Tom Cruise’s new drama Lions for Lambs Thursday.

A glowing Holmes, 28, appeared to be sporting a mini bump as she worked the red carpet in a one-shouldered, silk charmeuse Monique Lhuillier gown.

Though she didn’t address questions about a possible pregnancy, the actress and her husband — who will celebrate their one-year wedding anniversary November 18, were happy to give the crowd a display of their mutual affection, as Cruise, 42, whispered to his wife and softly kissed her ear as they made their way into the theater.

“Tom kissed Katie a few times lightly near her ear and whispered to her,” a witness told Usmagazine.com. “She would turn to him and smile.”

In a November 1 interview with Entertainment Tonight Cruise said he and Holmes could handle having another little one around because they’ve already mastered raising their 18-month-old, Suri.

He said they share parenting duties “just like everybody else, you just work it out. You make it work. We’ve gotten pretty good at organizing everything.” Laughing, he added, “I don’t sleep much anyway.”

This isn’t the first baby No. 2 rumor for the duo: She had blogs a buzz when she wore an an empire-waist Balenciaga top at a Berlin airport in October. Her rep told Us at the time: “She is not pregnant.”

After spending the last three months in Berlin, where superstar hubby Tom Cruise was shooting his WWII epic Valkyrie, Katie flew into New York today for a top-secret photo shoot. The shoot is tied to the promotion of her upcoming comedy Mad Money, which will be released in January.

Tom and daughter Suri will be joining Katie in a couple of days, but their stay will be a short one. This weekend they are off to the UK for the London Film Festival premiere of Tom’s new film Lions for Lambs. The Cruise clan then jets to Rome, Paris and Los Angeles for three more gala openings of the Robert Redford directed thriller. Then, it’s straight back to Manhattan for Katie’s debut in the Nov. 4 New York City Marathon.

And OK! has learned exclusively that she’s not just doing it to keep her figure fit for Tom — She’s fulfilling her dream to run in the New York City Marathon.

“She’s been training for months, in both L.A. and Berlin,” a friend of the Thank You For Smoking star reveals to OK!. “Katie is determined to complete the race; she’s as fit and toned as ever.”

And though a rep for Katie could neither confirm nor deny if the 28-year-old beauty would be lining up with the thousands of other marathoners on the starting line at the foot of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge in Staten Island on Nov. 4, OK! has confirmed that the couple’s security experts have been investigating what would be required if Katie did choose to run this year.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have been enjoying life abroad, but it looks like Tom may have some competition as Katie’s number one fan!

Tom has been in Berlin while he films Valkyrie this summer and the locals have helped bring TomKat even closer. “Katie has been very good for Tom,” a local tells OK!, “Public opinion towards him has changed because of her. Everybody loves her and those feelings have rubbed off on Tom.”

On August 28 Tom, 45, was spotted at a public autograph signing smiling and snapping pictures with his fans. It’s not just Katie, 28, rubbing off on Tom. Suri (who won the reader’s poll as The Cutest Celeb Baby), 17 months, has become extremely popular with the locals. The proud parents have been letting her run around the gardens of the Regent hotel. The local says, “They’re very loving parents.”

In years to come, Suri Cruise’s first-ever Paris visit will be remembered as an introductory mix of rainy weather shopping, snacks, Mom’s ruined pair of heels and a “strategic” museum nap.

Taking a day trip out of Berlin where Daddy – Tom Cruise – is filming Valkyrie, Katie Holmes brought 16-month-old daughter Suri to Paris for a whirlwind visit on Thursday.

And while the buttery croissants were a hit, the Louvre proved a little too exhausting for the younger traveler.

The mother and her drowsy daughter started out early, spending nearly an hour at Dior’s main shop on Avenue Montaigne while heavy rains and fall-like weather lashed the city.

Afterwards, Suri showed considerable enthusiasm tearing into a croissant across the street, at the restaurant L’Avenue.

From there, it was on to a one-hour privately guided tour of the Louvre, where Suri seemed more interested chasing pigeons across the art museum’s courtyard than in the treasures inside.

Another yacht sighting is nothing special to those along Corsica’s southern port of Bonafacio – but vacationing pedestrians still did a double-take around 10 p.m. on Thursday.

Being brought ashore by a yacht tender: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

The couple, enjoying a Mediterranean cruise that included some jet-skiing in Sardinia, led six friends to an outdoor portside dinner at Corsica’s Pizzeria des Amis.

“Katie wore this sexy red tunic, but I hardly recognized him,” says one eyewitness, “because his hair is cut so short.”

The Cruise crop is for his role in the WWII drama Valkyrie, now shooting in Europe. Earlier this week, Holmes and 15-month-old daughter Suri Cruise were seen visiting Tom on location in Potsdam, Germany.

The Cruise-Holmes pizza party of eight stayed until 12:30 a.m.

After that, and before heading back to their yacht, the star attractions posed for photos and signed a number of autographs for the crowd that gathered around them.
