Justin Postpones Two Tour Dates

If you want to catch Justin Timberlake’s FutureSex/LoveShow this week, you’re going to have to turn on HBO.

The singer postponed dates in Sacramento and San Jose, Calif., originally scheduled for Monday and Wednesday, respectively, after straining his vocal cords from over-performing, his record company Jive Records said in a statement. Under doctor’s orders, Justin must rest his voice for a week.

Justin has been touring worldwide since January and performed at Sunday night’s Video Music Awards, collaborating with 50 Cent and closing the show with Nelly Furtado and Timbaland.

The two shows have been rescheduled for Sept. 23 (San Jose) and Sept. 25 (Sacramento).

The 26-year-old, who picked up two trophies at the VMAs, wraps the North American leg of the tour this month and will head Down Under in late October to finish up his globetrotting year.

Nipplegate Goes to Court

More than three and a half years later, Nipplegate is finally heading to court.

The 3rd US Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia will hear arguments today regarding the notorious Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show, during which Justin Timberlake exposed Janet Jackson’s sun-shielded nipple after rocking her body.

The hearing is meant to determine whether or not the “wardrobe malfunction” was in fact indecent, as the Federal Communications Commission and many others consider it to be, or simply an unfortunate accident that doesn’t warrant punishment.

The FCC fined CBS half a million dollars for the Feb. 1, 2004 incident, which the Eye contested in November 2006, asserting that “fleeting, isolated or unintended” images should not be deemed indecent, especially when the network had no prior knowledge or planning of the flashing.

Firing back, the regulation agency maintains that inadvertent transitory images can make a lasting impact. “Even relatively fleeting references may be found indecent where other factors contribute to a finding of patent offensiveness.”

Arguments were scheduled for a 9:30 a.m. start time. No cameras are allowed in the courtroom.

Justin Timberlake Lyrics Get the Shaft

Justin Timberlake may need to remove his d*ck from the box and put something else inside. Timberlake and SNL writer Andy Samberg are scheduled to perform their popular song, “D*ck in the box” at the Emmys, but the award show’s producers fear if Timberlake doesn’t change the name of the song, they will be unable to broadcast the performance on the air.

Timberlake is against changing the title to something more family friendly, according to E! Online.

The song, which originally aired on Saturday Night Live back in December, has become a sensation ever since it hit Youtube.com, reports the New York Post. When the video first aired on NBC, the offensive word in the title had to bleeped out 16 times.

It is still unclear if Timberlake will perform the song when the Emmys air next month.

She needs help. It’s sad because what she’s got — and we’ve heard it’s like bipolar disorder — can easily be treated with medication, but she won’t do it.”
