Burlesque queen, fetish model, professional clotheshorse Dita Von Teese, well known for her sultry, retro-glam style, is also one of the faces of MAC Cosmetics Viva Glam line, which in addition to sexying up the lips of ladies everywhere, also helps out a good cause, as all the money from the sale of Viva Glam products goes to the MAC AIDS Fund.

Given Dita’s connection to all things carnal, when OK! recently caught up with the former Mrs. Marilyn Manson at the MAC AIDS Fund event in New York City, we were dying to know the latest news from her boudoir. Alas, the raven-haired beauty kept her famous red lips shut tightly on the subject, saying coyly, “I have all kinds of special people in my life,” before adding, “don’t you wish I would tell you.”

Actually, yes Dita, that’s why we asked.

Oddly enough, one topic the sexy siren was willing to chat openly about was her passion… for baking. “I’m an excellent baker,” she tells OK!. “I like to do pumpkin pie and fancy, pretty cakes… things like that — Christmas goodies.”

We hope that whomever that special someone in Dita’s life is enjoys those goodies this holiday season!

A new ad features burlesque queen Dita Von Teese as the teacher of every schoolboy’s dreams: She’s cinched in by a powder-pink corset, wearing stilettos and fishnet stockings — and well aware of the effect she’s having on the apt pupil sitting at her feet.

Yep, that’s right, PETA is at it again.

Fresh off a campaign that made the media sit up last week and take notice when it unveiled a new public service announcement featuring a nude Alicia Silverstone, the animal-rights group is holding a noon press conference Sept. 24 (Monday) at PETA’s Los Angeles office to pull back the curtain on the new ad featuring Von Teese as she teaches her ABCs — which stands for Animal Birth Control.

The ad quotes Von Teese as saying: “Nearly 4 million dogs and cats are put to death in the U.S. every year because there are not enough good homes. You can help prevent this — always spay or neuter your animals, and if you’re considering adding a dog or cat to your family, please adopt from your local animal shelter.”

PETA has perfected the art of using celebrity — and racy or offbeat images — to deliver animal-rights messages that might otherwise be rebuffed. Among the A-list stars and bold-faced names it has partnered up with over the years: Oscar winners Forest Whitaker, Charlize Theron and Kim Basinger; Pamela Anderson; Paul McCartney; the Go-Go’s; supermodel Christy Turlington; former NBA rebel Dennis Rodman; “The Sopranos’” Edie Falco; and Alyssa Milano. Last week, Silverstone’s ad was deemed too much for Houston, where it was blocked from cable TV.

A talk show appearance by Dita Von Teese was hardly ever going to be a tame affair. But guests on a programme for the US network NBC must have had their jaws on the floor when the burlesque dancer – whose favourite stage prop is a giant cocktail glass – treated them to a taste of her famously seductive routine.

The programme started innocently enough with Dita arriving for Last Call with Carson Daly wearing an elegant one-shoulder cocktail dress.

Before long things were hotting up as the voluptuous beauty unclipped her suspenders giving audience members – and her excited host – a closer look at her shapely pins. Rapturous applause greeted the finale of her performance, in which she presented Carson with her stockings.

Despite her saucy stage persona, Dita – whose red carpet wardrobe consists of a retro chic look inspired by the golden age of Hollywood – prides herself on projecting a courteous style and glamour from a bygone era. In a recent interview, the 34-year-old American dished out advice to fellow stars wishing to avoid making headlines. “Just have some decent manners!” said Dita. “Don’t drink and drive or act like an ass in public.”
