Christina Aguilera is a mom!

The pint-sized vocal powerhouse gave birth to a boy, named Max Liron Bratman on Saturday, January 12 in Los Angeles. He is the first child for the songbird and her hubby of two years, Jordan Bratman, 30.

Despite rampant reports — not to mention photos and announcements from others — of a bun in the oven for months, Christina didn’t confirm her pregnancy until November in an interview with Glamour magazine, declaring, “I want to get it right.”

Once the confirmation was out of the way, the 27-year-old — whose wedding to Jordan was featured exclusively in the pages of OK! — remained candid about her great expectations, including a nude spread in Marie Claire, in which she explained her hesitancy to talk about her happy news.

“Because I hadn’t said anything, people thought I was trying to keep it this big, bad secret, and that’s not the case at all,” she said. “I just wasn’t commenting. I’m not being like, ‘Hey, everybody, I’m pregnant!’ I’m not that girl.”

After a less-than-discreet blue baby shower, the Grammy winner revealed the sex in an interview with Access Hollywood at a Rock the Vote event.

“That’s why it’s even more important for me now to bring this baby into a world that he knows that I do care about.”

It’s a boy for Christina Aguilera! Or at least it will be when the soulful singer gives birth later this year.

OK! has learned that Xtina’s closest pals are all shopping for some pretty gender-specific gifts. “They’re all boy-themed, all blue,” a source reveals to OK!.

While Christina and hubby Jordan Bratman have yet to confirm that her growing belly bump is actually a baby, Ken Ehrlich, executive producer of this year’s Emmy telecast, let it slip to OK! last week when he said, “We’re very sensitive to her pregnancy.”

A few days earlier, Paris Hilton called Christina “the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world” at a pre-VMA party hosted by the mom-to-be.

Despite the predictions of many Hollywood insiders that Christina Aguilera would choose her performance of “Steppin’ Out [with My Baby]” at Sunday’s Emmy awards to finally break her silence of the topic of her now-quite-obvious pregnancy, the soulful songstress instead gave no hint of a big reveal during her duet with music legend Tony Bennett.

This latest bit of standing mute about her bulging belly comes hot on the heels of Paris Hilton revealing it to everyone in attendance at a pre-VMA party last weekend and, two days later, Emmy producer Ken Ehrlich letting it slip to an OK! reporter during a tour of the new Emmy stage.

It may be the worst-kept secret in entertainment of late, what with Paris Hilton spouting off about it last weekend in Vegas, but Christina Aguilera has still not publicly confirmed that she and record exec hubby Jordan Bratman are expecting. Well, she doesn’t have to anymore, because someone else has done it for her, direct to OK!.

While chatting recently with the executive producer of this Sunday’s Emmy Awards, OK! learned a lot about what to expect from the gala event — the stage layout is different; Kanye West is going to perform; and, oh yeah, Christina is definitely preggers!

In describing to OK! how the songtress will be performing the classic tune “Steppin’ Out,” exec. producer Ken Ehrlic casually let it slip that “We’re sensitive to the pregnancy, but I can’t wait for her to sing.” Oops. Guess the pregnant cat is out of the bag now.

So, come on Christina, why not come out and tell everyone the good news? We promise to bring a nice gift to the baby shower.
