Amongst this week’s tabloid hate-on for Angelina Jolie, Brangelina decided to make a very public outing. They got all dressed up and attended a “private viewing” of what looks like a black-and-white photography exhibit at The Museum of Contemporary Art on Saturday night. From these pictures, Brad and Angelina aren’t groping each other or even holding hands. Honestly, they look a little like wax statutes. Most media outlets are making this out to be a “response” the all of the tabloid reports of trouble in their relationship, and I kind of think those reports might be dead-on. It seems like a public show of unity (even if they weren’t touching) might have been timed specifically to battle rumors. Which would make them just like every other celebrity.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt left their six children at home Saturday as they enjoyed a private viewing of The Museum of Contemporary Art’s new 30th anniversary exhibition in Los Angeles.

The 34-year-old Jolie, in a strapless Armani Prive gown, and Pitt, 45, didn’t pack on the PDA like they normally do for photographers.

Instead, they walked around the gallery — occasionally leaving each other’s side to look at pieces on their own.

I love Angelina’s dress, even though I feel like her go-to look is endless supply of black strapless gowns and cocktail dresses. Seriously, Versace, Armani and Eli Saab need to cut her off. She’s hooked on black strapless! But this Armani one is different – it has pockets! And it looks surprisingly comfortable, which is nice. Angelina also looks like she’s put on a little weight since her some her last big public outings, when she was photographed in Syria (in October) and Kenya (in September). I’m not saying she’s back to a healthy weight, I’m just saying she doesn’t look as bony as she did last month. As for Brad – well, the goatee/beard thing is still there, but he dressed up in a nice suit and he doesn’t look baked. Which is a plus.
