The next season of HBO’s hit Southern-gothic-vampire series True Blood is about to commence on June 14, so the show’s star Anna Paquin is beginning the publicity rounds. She appears on the cover of Hamptons magazine (story via Cover Awards) in an interview titled “Love Bites”. So original. Anna isn’t just talking about the show, though. She’s also gushing about her relationship with hottie Stephen Moyer. Stephen and Anna probably began dating about a year ago, and they now share a home together in Los Angeles. Anna is 26 years old, and Stephen is a 37 years old Briton, and a father of two.
Actress Anna Paquin looks stunning on the cover of the Memorial Day issue of Niche Media’s Hamptons Magazine and inside, the True Blood star opens up about her on and off-screen relationship, career success, and more.
Not only is True Blood a hit TV sensation but Anna Paquin also found love on set–the actress fell in love with costar Stephen Moyer and the couple have since moved in together.
She tells Hamptons magazine: “Steve and I had an a certain instant connection… It doesn’t hurt when the relationship on screen that you’re trying to create is one of attraction and fascination.”
Paquin goes on to say that her character, Sookie Stackhouse is “her own little action star” saying, “I get blooded and vomited on and beat up—everything that the girl doesn’t usually get to do in a show or film because they’re usually the girlfriend.”
On top of love and an exciting character, Paquin has also scored a Golden Globe win for her role. Though she’s not stranger to awards—she won an Oscar at the age of 9 for her performance in The Piano-Paquin says, “The Golden Globe feels pretty damn good because I’m an adult, and it’s the first major recognition I’ve had for my work as a non-child.”
She continues by stating, “Even though I’m only 26, I’ve been working since I was nine, so it feels like I worked for it.”
Golden Globe and Oscar aside, the A-list talent still remains grounded. She tells Hamptons magazine: “I came up through the ranks before the tabloid media became what it is currently. It wasn’t as much as a feeding frenzy. I guess that’s more good luck than good management. There was very little time to be affected, and my family didn’t value that. I was usually at work or at school or at home doing my homework.”

I’ve never seen True Blood, but I am a fan of Paquin’s and Stephen Moyer is pretty hot, so I’d probably like it. True Blood became a word-of-mouth hit last year, and my guess is that Paquin will continue to be nominated for the big television acting awards.
I found this semi-preview of the second season from Entertainment Weekly that the fans will probably like – the guy seems to be saying that he became a convert only after seeing how the characters grew and filled out throughout the entirety of the first season: “True Blood just kept getting better and better, and I’m officially eager to see Season Two when it starts June 14. Paquin’s Sookie and Moyer’s vampire Bill [moved] to the center of the saga as the season progressed, and became rich, complex characters. I also liked the way the series upped the stakes, so to speak, on most of the key players… But beyond filling in the chartacters’ backstories, True Blood improved as an exciting vampire tale, with lots of suspenseful, startling moments.”
So, vampire-lovers, you’ve got something to look forward to now that the networks are going into reruns! God knows we can’t just sit around waiting for Robert Pattinson to materialize.
