Lindsay: “I’ve Grown Up Very Fast”

After a tumultuous 2007, Lindsay Lohan says she’s finally at peace with herself.

“I think everybody should be just who they are and I am what I am,” Lindsay tells Entertainment Tonight. “I’ve been doing this for so long and I’ve grown up very fast.”

A former child star and now 21 years old, the starlet has lived quite a different, not to mention wild, lifestyle from the get-go than peers her age, which Lindsay admits she’s finally learned the hard way she had rectify.

“I have different responsibilities than (other) people have at my age and it’s taken me time to recognize that,” Lindsay says. “I’ve gone through the phases that I’ve had to go through, so now I’m growing up and hopefully people are growing with me. I think it’s an important message to send, instead of trying to be someone else.”

With a slew of movie projects lined up and a “very therapeutic” third album in the works, life appears to be back on track for the redhead.

And just how changed is she? Lindsay plans on traveling to Africa to bring vaccines to the poor.

For more on Lindsay, tune in to ET tonight!

Cover Story: Angie & Brad Expectin’ a Texan

Smithville, Texas, is a small, rural town about 29 miles southeast of Austin. And in case you haven’t heard, it’s also the latest “home” for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and their growing family. The famous couple and their four children have recently set up shop there while Brad, 44, shoots his latest film, Tree of Life.

Production on the drama is expected to last for at least the next three months. And with sources telling OK! that Angie is around five to six months into her second pregnancy, it looks like the couple’s new baby could be the first Jolie-Pitt to be born on American soil.

Sources tell OK! that Brad and Angelina took great care in choosing the right home for their family. The family reportedly moved into a sprawling 270-acre ranch just outside of Smithville, where they don’t have to worry about being hounded by paparazzi or curious lookie-loos. “Several beautiful properties were offered to Brad and Angelina before they came to Texas,” a source close to the proceedings informs OK!. “But they turned them all down. They were concerned about people being able to see their home — or even their driveway — from the road.”

On Feb. 27, residents spotted “two huge semis, loaded with every toy and child-sized car and truck you could imagine” pulling up to the ranch. With no risk of being interrupted by the media, it seems the family is planning to live happily in Smithville for a quite a while, just as they did in Namibia prior to Shiloh’s 2006 birth there.

A Jolie-Pitt insider tells OK!, “Brad and Angelina love the South. They weren’t expecting to move to Texas for filming, but Angie is all for trying something new. If she could take on Iraq, a little town in Texas should be a piece of cake!”

Jen’s Mystery Man Revealed

Last week, Jennifer Aniston was spotted leaving BFF Courteney Cox’s house with a handsome hunk who no one could immediately identify — until now.

OK! has learned that the fetching fella pictured riding shotgun in Jen’s car that evening is
Brian Bourma, a key grip on the actress’ latest film. “They met on the set of Traveling in Vancouver, where he was in charge of moving lights and other heavy equipment,” one insider reveals to OK!. “He’s actually quite a ladies’ man. He’s dated actresses before.”

But the sources says Brian is doing his best to keep in touch with Jen and is even planning a visit to Miami, where the former Mrs. Brad Pitt just started filming Marley & Me with Owen Wilson.

The Canadian cutie played coy about his relationship with the former Friends star, telling OK!, “I don’t want to talk about that…”

Salma Hayek: ‘I Was Born to Have This Girl’

In a new interview, Salma Hayek confesses she suffered from diabetes during her pregnancy and that she was hoping for a son – but now she’s loving being a mom to her five-month-old daughter, Valentina Paloma Pinault.

“I feel I was born to have this girl,” she tells the April issue of Glamour magazine.

Pregnancy for the 41-year-old, first-time mom was a humbling experience. “I had diabetes while I was pregnant. I became huge. And I said, ‘This is what it takes for me to have this baby, and I really want it.’ Then you don’t know if it’s going to be healthy; you are completely out of control,” she says. “So the experience really makes you humble.”

Hayek’s businessman fiancé, François Henri Pinault, 45, has two children from a previous marriage, and the actress confesses, “I wanted a boy.”

How come? “Probably because I was afraid,” she tells the magazine. “I think women suffer a bit more than boys, and there is always conflict between mothers and daughters.”

“Now that she’s here, I’m so happy she’s a girl,” Hayek says of Valentina. “And I can’t imagine there ever being conflict between us, because I’m in a state of innocence where I love everything she does.”

She concludes: “I just feel so fortunate to be her mother, and it makes me excited about the rest of my life, because I will get to witness her transformation every day.”

Patrick Swayze Diagnosed with Cancer

Patrick Swayze, who starred in Dirty Dancing and Ghost, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, his doctor says.

“Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far,” Dr. George Fisher says in a statement. “All of the reports stating the time frame of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic.”

The actor’s rep adds: “Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects. The outpouring of support and concern he has already received from the public is deeply appreciated by Patrick and his family.”

Swayze, 55, started his career as a dancer before turning to acting. His breakout role was as a Catskills dance instructor opposite Jennifer Grey in 1987’s sleeper hit Dirty Dancing. He also starred opposite Demi Moore in the 1990 blockbuster Ghost.

On Broadway in the ’70s he played the lead role of Danny Zucco in Grease – he returned to the New York stage in December 2003, for a brief stint in the revival of Chicago – before making his movie debut in 1979’s Skatetown, U.S.A. Among his other screen roles were 2001’s Donnie Darko and 1995’s To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar, which he played in fabulous drag.

And while Swayze has been happily married to the same woman, Lisa Niemi, since 1975, only last month Scarlett Johansson said quite seriously during her Hasty Pudding roast at Harvard that the man to whom she’d most like to be linked with romantically is, “Probably Patrick Swayze. My dream come true.”

Swayze’s diagnosis was initially reported by the National Enquirer and New York Post, which both characterized the cancer as more severe than Swayze’s doctor has.

Each year about 33,000 individuals in the United States are diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas (a large organ that lies horizontally behind the lower part of one’s stomach), according to the Mayo Clinic.

Calling the condition “one of the most serious of cancers,” the facility’s Web site also states, “Pancreatic cancer spreads rapidly and is seldom detected in its early stages, which is a major reason why it’s a leading cause of cancer death.”

Judge: Britney’s Dad in Control for Four More Months

Jamie Spears will remain in control of his daughter Britney Spears’s finances and other aspects of the pop star’s life until July 31, a judge ruled Wednesday in an unscheduled hearing.

No reporters were present for the proceeedings, although two sources confirm to PEOPLE that Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz extended the temporary conservatorship that had been ordered on Feb. 4, during Spears’s second stint in a psychiatric facility.

“I can confirm that the order was issued this afternoon, but I don’t know the attorneys’ motives,” Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini tells PEOPLE.

The temporary conservatorship had been scheduled to expire March 10. Hearings are still scheduled before Goetz on that date and on March 17, sources say.

Jamie Spears has been overseeing his 26-year-old daughter’s well-being and her estimated $100 million fortune since Feb. 1, when Goetz named him and Andrew Wallet temporary co-conservators, giving them the right to employ bodyguards and restrict her visitors.

A source close to Britney says she’s okay with her dad being in control. On Feb. 23, she was allowed to spend time with her sons Preston, 2, and Jayden, 17 months, for the first time since her Jan. 3 standoff with the police, and she has had regular visits since. “She is getting along well with her father and enjoying the closeness and support of her family,” says a source.

Jessica Simpson is headed to Sin City.

The singer, 27, just snapped up a luxury, 1,200-square feet one-bedroom suite inside the new Palms Place residential resort in Las Vegas. Pics of the one-bedroom suites are to the left.

The deal has been in the works for awhile.

“She first showed interest when she was still with Nick,” a source close to Simpson tells Usmagazine.com. “It was originally supposed to be for both of them, but then she decided to just get a smaller unit for herself.”

Another source close to the singer tells Us: “The location of the condo is spectacular. It’s right at the top of the tower, and it’s got great views of the strip. It’s really cool!”

The Palms Place (located next to the Palms Palace Hotel and Casino) offers a two-story Drift Spa and Simon at Palms Place, a restaurant and lounge by celeb chef Kerry Simon.

“We are thrilled that Jessica is among the first to purchase at Palms Place,” said Palms Place owner George Maloof in a statement. “We’ve created a resort atmosphere unlike anything on or off the Las Vegas Strip.”
