Nicole Richie, who is six months pregnant, has enrolled in a lengthy anti-drinking education program, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE.

Papers filed with the Superior Court of California show that on Sept. 26 Richie signed up for a 18-month anti-drinking driver course, known as the SB 38 Alcohol Program.

SB 38 is for people who have been convicted of DUI on more than one occasion within a 7-year period, the Santa Barbara Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse states on its Web site.

The program consists of 52 hours of group counseling, bi-weekly face-to-face interviews and 12 hours of alcohol education, according to the council. Participants are also encouraged to attend 12-step meetings.

Last year, Richie, 26, was arrested in the early hours of Dec. 11 after CHP officers were alerted to a black Mercedes SUV driving the wrong way down Southern California’s Highway 134.

She was booked for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs after failing a field sobriety test and admitting to police that she had smoked marijuana and took Vicodin earlier that evening. At the time of her arrest Richie was en route from the home of Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden, with whom she is expecting the baby.

This July 27, Richie was sentenced to four days in jail, fined $2,048 – and forced to sign up for the driving rehab course because she was previously convicted of DUI in June 2003.

On Aug. 24, Richie served a scant 82 minutes in jail.

Last month, Richie also told Diane Sawyer during a lengthy interview that she has cleaned up her act. “No alcohol … No marijuana … No pills … Nothing … No smoking around me,” she said.

Despite reports that Angelina Jolie is out as the face of St. John, a source at the company tells Usmagazine.com that the mother of four is still the line’s spokesmodel.

“St. John has not made any decisions regarding upcoming campaigns,” the source tells Us. “Angelina is starring in our current ads and just shot for Spring so she definitely still is our face.”

Back when Jolie, 32, signed with St. John in September 2005, the company’s chief executive officer, Richard Cohen, had nothing but praise for the actress.

“Angelina Jolie embodies so many qualities of what St. John represents,” said Cohen. “She is strong, independent and dynamic. She’s a mother, actress and a philanthropist.”

At the time, Jolie released a statement saying that she was eager to partner with the clothing line. “I am a working mother who has set goals to accomplish a lot in this world,” she said. “I want my wardrobe to be beautiful, sexy and comfortable — all at the same time. St. John is all of those things.”

Shakira is doing her part to help make the world a better place by giving back to those less fortunate. While she was at the Clinton Global Initiative conference in New York, the singer said she would be donating a total of $45 million to help various areas in Latin America plagued by problems that have gone unfixed.

According to reports, $40 million will be given to the regions of Peru and Nicaragua, where disasters like earthquakes and hurricanes have left severe damages.

The remainder will be put towards educational projects for children who live in poverty and can not afford to get proper schooling in Latin American countries.

This is not the first time Shikira digging deep in her pockets to do her share. The famous entertainer is also the co-founder of the Latin America for Solidarity Foundation, ALAS, which means wings in Spanish.

Britney Spears former bodyguard Tony Barretto has been busy making the media rounds, even appearing on CNN’s Larry King Live to discuss about his former employer’s bizarre behavior.

In addition to Barretto’s claim that he witnessed Britney do drugs, he also alleges the singer walks in front of her two sons and her staff naked!

“This is not normal behavior and aside from the alleged drug use, there lies a bigger problem,” Dr. Tara Fields, a California based marriage and family therapist who does not treat Britney tells Star.

“Britney has shaved her head and has been seen in public without panties one more then one occasion. I think she is dealing with a profound psychiatric illness like bipolar disorder and the alleged drug use is only fueling the problem,” Fields adds.

Fields, who hosts Decision House on MyNetwork TV, describes bipolar disorder as a chemical disorder that takes you from one extreme (like depression) and to another (a manic episode). “The person does wild and crazy things because they feel so powerful and they can do anything.” In Fields opinion, Britney fits the bill.

But all is not doom and gloom for the one-time pop princess. Fields tells Star, “Spears can get better by checking into a hospital where she can see a psychiatrist to evaluate her problems, take proper medication, eat a well-balanced diet and divorce herself from the outside world for a minimum of 60-days.”

England footie ace David Beckham has jetted back to the UK to be at his father’s side after Beckham senior suffered a serious heart attack. The LA-based star boarded a flight to London Heathrow shortly after being told his father, Ted, was seriously ill.

Fifty-nine-year-old gas fitter Ted - who is divorced from David’s mother - was rushed to hospital after complaining of chest pains at his Essex home. He’s now in a stable condition at an east London hospital.

According to reports, the soccer star’s dad had to be resuscitated in the ambulance en route. “Ted was in a bad way and actually died on his way to hospital,” a source told a British newspaper. “The paramedics managed to bring him back.”

Lindsay Lohan will not be leaving the Cirque Lodge rehab program in Utah this weekend, as had been speculated, according to her mother.

“Not true,” Dina Lohan, 45, told Access Hollywood in an e-mail, “staying in Utah.”

A source close to the star also tells PEOPLE: “Lindsay is not leaving Cirque Lodge in Utah any time soon. She has a few more weeks to grow and develop, and she is doing great.”

Lindsay’s treatment at the facility began last month, following her early morning July 24 arrest in Santa Monica, Calif., on suspicion of drunken driving after a brief car chase.

At the police station, Lohan, 21, was searched and a “small” amount of cocaine was found in her pocket, said Santa Monica police spokesman Lt. Alex Padilla.

Immediately after she was booked, her attorney said that Lohan, who had recently completed a six-week stint at Malibu’s Promises rehab center, had “relapsed” and was receiving “medical care.”

A month later, at the time her lawyer negotiated a plea deal for Lohan in her DUI cases, the actress issued a statement in which she accepted responsibility for her actions and said she suffers from drug and alcohol addiction.

“It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs,” her statement began.

During her time at the Cirque Lodge, Lohan was spotted taking bicycling and whitewater-rafting excursions. She was also reunited with her long-estranged father, Michael Lohan. Her mother and her siblings, Cody and Ali, have also paid her visits.

Vivica A. Fox pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor counts of DUI in a Van Nuys, Calif. courthouse on Thursday.

The actress did not appear in court. The plea was entered by her attorney, Richard Hutton, who previously represented Paris Hilton.

On March 20, Fox was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Around 11 p.m., a patrol car noticed Fox’s silver Cadillac SRX traveling on a Los Angeles freeway at about 80 mph in a 65-mph zone, and she was unable to drive within her lane, CHP spokesman Leland Tang said.

“Fox exhibited signs of alcohol intoxication,” said Tang. “A field sobriety test was administered and she scored over 0.08,” which is the legal limit in California.

If convicted on both charges, Fox faces a maximum of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.

Fox, 43, appeared on Dancing with the Stars and the films Kill Bill: Vol. 1 and Soul Food.

A trial date was set for Oct. 29.

In an exclusive interview, Montag confirms what Us first reported in its April 23 issue: that she had undergone rhinoplasty and breast augmentation earlier that month.

The 21-year-old aspiring singer opens about her decision to go under the knife, enlarging from a 32-A to a 32-C, and the painful body-­image problems that spurred her to make a change.

Tell Us why you had the surgeries.
“I’ve always been very insecure about my body. My whole life, I looked at my chest and was like, OK, they’re going to grow. This is my year! And it never happened. I was less than an A-cup. I wore pushup bras, which cut into my skin. If I was with a guy and there was a girl next to me with big boobs, I would be like, Oh, my God, he’s looking at her! On the beach, if I was standing next to a girl with big boobs, I’d be like, I hate her! I hated my nose too. I have my dad’s nose, which is huge. It took up so much of my face, when I looked down, I could see my nose. I couldn’t get away from it!”

Were you ever teased about your appearance?
“People would say, “You have such a big nose!” And they’d make fun of me for being so flat, and say mean boy things, like, “If you nailed two nails in a board, they would be bigger than you are.” I was tormented. And when I was older, I’d want to be intimate, but I’d feel insecure. My boyfriends always had bigger chests than I did!”

A lot of people believe Spencer pressured you into surgery, since he’s made his love of Playboy bunnies known.
“He had nothing to do with it. If anything, he said, ‘maybe you should think about it a lot longer’.”

Take Us back to April 2, the day of ­surgery.
“I woke up, and it was like Christmas: I was a nervous wreck, but I was just so excited at the same time. Spencer said, “I’m so proud of you.” It was like he was wishing me well off to school: “Love you! Bye!” But surgery is a very big deal. Right before I went in, I was like, What if I don’t wake up? Oh, this is scary. Then I thought, I don’t care. If I don’t wake up, it’s worth it. I just wanted it so badly.”

One would think that parents at Maddox Jolie-Pitt’s new school, Lycee Francais de New York, would be upset that his famous family is disrupting their schedules. But it turns out it’s the Jolie-Pitts who are being inconvenienced, by Lycee Francais parents who can’t help but ask Brangelina for autographs.

The New York Observer reports that the Lycee’s director of operations, Dan Cooke, had to ask parents to leave Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie alone. He wrote in a letter, “Regretfully, I have seen some parents taking pictures, asking for autographs, talking to the media and even shouting at Ms. Jolie and Mr. Pitt for recognition. Therefore, in the best interests of the school and safety of your child(ren) I must ask for everyone to please respect the family’s privacy and discontinue these practices.”

Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have made concerted efforts to ensure that the chaos that surrounds them is kept to a minimum when dropping son Maddox, 5, off for classes. Cooke explains in his letter:

“I’m sure you are aware the school has received much media attention recently during the arrival and dismissal times because of the presence of celebrities Ms. Angelina Jolie and/or Mr. Brad Pitt. I want to make you aware that before the first day of school I met with their security team to discuss the best manner in which for them to drop off and pick up their son. Our foremost goal was to cause the least amount of disruption to the school and to ensure the security of all of our students and families.”

A source tells the Observer that the constant attention of the paparazzi (and eager parents) has already had an effect on adopted son Maddox. The normally happy Mad got scared and started to cry when his kindergarten class was asked to bring in a picture of themselves.
